A delicious, sweet-hot blend of Isle of Wight plum tomato and home-grown, fiery, red chilli. It is a versatile addition to any pantry.
Chilli jam is a sandwich filler, a relish (charming with cheese, brilliant with bacon and burgers and marvellous with cold meats) or a dip - it works well with cheese scones, cheese on toast or with baked brie and crusty bread.
It has a secret superpower. It's brilliant with salted new potatoes (especially when topped with a grated hard cheese). Our favourite potatoes are Koffman's - widely used by chefs for their taste and ability to hold their shape when cooked (other brands are also available!).
The adventurous might try chilli jam:
- With avocado on toast
- To sweeten and spice up a stir-fry
- In chicken fajitas to add sweetness and zing
